John Zachary Monahan is an English teacher at Abington Heights High School. In addition to teaching speech and drama classes during the day, Mr. Monahan acts as the Abington Heights Drama Society’s faculty advisor, a position he has held for the past four years.  As advisor, Mr. Monahan produces and directs all dramatic endeavors at the high school and oversees the creative minds of more than one hundred students every school year.  In his spare time, he loves to watch movies, go to concerts, and plan crazy adventures with his wife.  He said he was honored to have been a judge to finally help prove that stories, not cotton, are the real fabric of our lives.
