John Troiani, the senior slammer, was born in Jessup in 1931 and graduated from Jessup High School in ’49. A long time member, like his family before him, of the Family of St. Anthony, John had the honor of being elected Primo Capitano of the The Race of the Saints in 2012. If you see John walking along the Lackawanna River Trail, make sure you’re following the rules, because he is a volunteer trail patrol. John is a US Air Force veteran and currently resides in Mayfield.
